Porter Pictures Closes multi-film deal with Urban Movie Channel

For Immediate Release:

Jeff Porter, President of Porter Pictures, has just recently closed a multi-picture licensing deal with UMC - Urban Movie Channel. This deal will allow four films from the Porter Pictures film library to be released on UMC later this year. The films licensed include the famed Baz Brothers' latest productions, entitled “Love N Success” directed by Jeff Bazile starring Angie Stone, Rico Ball, & Erica Page; and "Making Moves,” also directed by Jeff Bazile and starring Sean Baker and Johnell Young. Also coming to the channel are Jeanine Chait’s Atlanta-based films entitled “Atlanta Heat 1" and "Atlanta Heat 2” starring Shaniqua Adams, Andrew Bellamy, and Jarneen Brown, directed by Al G. Silah.

UMC – Urban Movie Channel was created by Robert L. Johnson, Chairman of RLJ Entertainment and founder of Black Entertainment Television (BET). UMC is an urban-focused subscription streaming service in North America and features quality urban content that showcases feature films, documentaries, original series, stand-up comedy, and other exclusive content for African-American and urban audiences.

Jeff Porter says, "With both filmmakers coming out of Georgia, and with all the films having been shot in Georgia, I believe this says great things about the Georgia film community. I am very happy to be working with UMC, and their enthusiasm and support for independent filmmakers really speaks volumes about how much they care about their programming and their audience."
