TELLY DAVIDSON brings a wealth of background on both the creative and business sides of the feature film and TV business to his current role in Acquisitions and Research at Porter Pictures. A veteran author and researcher, his network credits include the Emmy-nominatedPioneers of Television specials for PBS, the comedic Most Outrageous Game Show Momentsspecials for NBC, writing for AFI FEST 2005 and 2006 at the American Film Institute, and associate-producing the Writers Guild-affiliated educational interview series, The WRITE Environment. He is also author of the Emmy-Academy cited media tie-in book, TV's Grooviest Variety Shows, and his movie and TV criticism and interviews have been published in national publications such as YahooMovies, the FrumForum, All About Jazz, The 213, Entertainment Today, FilmStew, and more. In those capacities, he has regularly attended and written coverageon innumerable film festivals, top industry trade shows (including NATPE, Licensing Expo, Book Expo, and more), and countless screenings. An active member of PEN-USA and the Independent Writers of Southern California, Telly has hosted and produced standing-room-only panels on book-to-film adaptations, biography/memoir writing, trends in book publishing, and entertainment writing.
